Some of your suggestions bear some merit, maybe. However, right now lowsec is worthless for everybody. Pirates have nothing to do. There's no profit there.
What if lowsec, for example, had high end asteroids, but in lower quantities than 0.0. So you could go there and ninja mine some crokite, make a fair bit of cash. That would give people reason to go.
Now for pirates, I have sympathy for them, but I still think it's too easy to pirate in lowsec, and that the penalties aren't high enough. Nice idea on them not being able to dock. If I was a corporation that operated stations in lowsec - spacelane patrol for example - there's no chance I'm going to let people with negative sec status dock in my stations.
As for people quitting Eve. Well, who's going to quit? The mission runners that don't interact with the rest of Eve? There's people quitting Eve because of these mission runners right now. Try having a war out in 0.0 and having to live with node crashes, module lag/targetting lag, losing lots of ships while you still stare at a screen showing you with loads of hps. And why are these people quitting? Because there's people playing Eve like a single player game.
So let's lose a whole pack of empire based people, and Eve's playerbase can plummet. The game will be playable again, and the playerbase will start to rise. And CCP can catch up on the required hardware fixes.
CCP can release a single player version of Eve with a simulated market, and a simulated contract system which puts up faction stuff randomly. Sell it for 50 bucks and make a killing. It can even simulate lag in Jita!
I`m really really getting tired of this stupid behaviour of players in EVE. Missions are part of the game and people run them for a couple of reasons, including myself. Stop bashing on mission runners, if you donŠt like missions donŠt do them !!! I personally do them to feed my pvp needs and increase standings for jump clones.
You post around on these forums who should play the game differently because of reasons that are beyond my immagination, you wonŠt see me posting about change a,b,c or d (fit in your preferred nerf target) cause people earning too much iskŠs through a,b,c or d. I really donŠt see how your argument helps the EVE community in any way to make the game more fun or interesting. So please stop bore the sh** out of us with your oppinion. Get back into your dark hole in 0.0 and keep shooting whoever or whatever comes around if thatŠs your style of play and leave the decision to CCP what makes the game better. Actually you know that you donŠt get any shares of CCP for the subscription fee? (Just for your info)
